Pocono Products

In today’s fast-moving world, innovation is everywhere — transforming industries and reshaping how we live, work, and connect. From powerful AI tools and immersive virtual reality to the rise of sustainable, eco-friendly solutions, new ideas are not just meeting demand — they’re redefining what’s possible.

At Pocono Prototyping, we often come across ideas that spark something bigger — concepts that blend smart engineering with real-world impact. Instead of letting those ideas float away, we bring them to life using our in-house design and manufacturing capabilities.

Below you’ll find a few of our current in-house projects — designed and built from the ground up by our team.

Magnetic Bit Holder with Bottle Opener - Origin Story

Like many ideas at Pocono Prototyping, this one started on the shop floor — in the middle of a late-night prototype crunch.

We were deep into a multi-day build, running CNC machines, tweaking CAD models, and chasing down test fits for a tricky assembly. Tools were everywhere. Bits were getting lost. And every time someone needed a new driver bit, it somehow involved five minutes of swearing and a flashlight.

At the same time, we had a mini-fridge full of cold drinks… and not a single bottle opener in sight.

That’s when one of our engineers jokingly said, “Why don’t we just make a drill attachment that does both?”

Challenge accepted.

By the end of the night, we had a rough sketch. A few iterations later, the Magnetic Bit Holder with Bottle Opener was born — a compact, rugged attachment made of aerospace grade aluminum that stores your most-used bits and cracks open a cold one when the job’s done. It’s become a staple in our shop and our go-to gift for friends of the firm.

Because in prototyping, form should always follow function — but there’s nothing wrong with having a little fun along the way.

Glock Slide Rack Assist - Origin Story

This started with frustration. This wasn’t a new problem, plenty of shooters with reduced hand strength, arthritis, or new experience face the same challenge. Racking the slide to chamber a round.

We were testing rack assist tools for a Glock and kept running into the same problems — they were either bulky, heavy, plastic, or just didn’t grip well. They got the job done, but they weren’t built to last — or built with real shooters in mind.

So we decided to make our own.

Using our metal 3D printer — the same machine used to print aerospace parts — we designed a slide rack assist that’s:

  • Lighter than anything else on the market thanks to our custom lattice structure

  • Stronger, thanks to aerospace-grade AlSi10Mg

  • With a precision grip texture built right into the metal

  • And a low-profile fit that doesn’t get in the way

No plastic. No gimmicks. Just a clean, functional tool designed to do one job perfectly.

We built it for ourselves — now we’re making it for you.
